Modification of POM by compounding with glass fiber and other modifying additives produces a substantial change in the properties of the base material and gives to compositions based on Tisaform® POM the following properties:
- Resistance to chemicals,
- Dimensional stability,
- High strength and stiffness,
- Machinability,
- Highly crystalline,
- More creep resistant than Nylon,
- Good resistance to solvents (except phenols),
- Low smoke emission,
- High gloss surfaces,
- High rigidity,
- High resistance to impact and also to low temperatures,
- Physiological indifference,
- Good characteristics of electric insulation.
